I live in Corsica, Pennsylvania with my husband, Ben and our two sons, Corbin and Aiden. I am a music teacher at Clarion-Limestone, focusing on elementary general music classes and instrumental lessons and classes for grades 4-12. I am very active in church activities, especially musical events and Sunday School classes and Vacation Bible School. During the evenings and summer months I give private piano lessons in my home.
I am currently working on my Masters in Curriculum and Instruction at Clarion University of Pennsylvania. My career aspirations during my undergraduate work at Grove City College focused on instrumental music at the senior high level - mainly marching band. Life has a funny way of leading you home though, and I've found myself teaching at my alma mater on the elementary level as well as directing the high school pep and concert bands.
